When it comes to top-notch summer tyres, both the Continental SportContact 7 and the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 are compelling options that boast several impressive features. Manufactured by Continental and Goodyear respectively, these ultra-high performance tyres are at the pinnacle of the summer tyre market.

The Continental SportContact 7 is lauded for its dry braking and comfort features due to its excellent performance in the dry, nice quick steering, and with the shortest dry braking. However, it demonstrated average aquaplaning performance in tests. Manufactured in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Portugal, the Continental SportContact 7 is particularly popular for its superb handling, both on wet and dry conditions, its excellent comfort levels, and precise steering response. Despite this, the testing data showed that its aquaplaning reserves could be improved.

On the other hand, the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 shines in areas such as exterior noise, resistance to cross aquaplaning, and dry handling. Produced in Germany, this tyre didn't quite match the best in braking. However, in handling, comfort, noise, and rolling resistance, it performed admirably. The tyre showed balanced performance with excellent aquaplaning resistance and the lowest noise. Furthermore, the testing data showed no particular weaknesses for the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6, making it a solid option for those prioritizing a balanced, all-round performance.

Comparison tests revealed some interesting results. In the 2025 TYRE REVIEWS, the Continental SportContact 7 showed enormous amounts of grip in the dry and excellent comfort, placing it at the front of the pack. In contrast, the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 performed incredibly well in handling, comfort, noise, and rolling resistance. In the Autobild comparison, the Continental SportContact 7 and the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 earned the 2nd and 1st position respectively, among 10 different tyres. Both tyres performed well in wet and dry handling, braking, and comfort. The Goodyear tyre had the edge for rolling resistance, and the Continental model had the advantage for dry handling.

From all the test data, it seems that while both tyres have their strengths, the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 comes out on top overall thanks to its well-rounded performance across all areas.

It's worth noting that neither of these tyres have a newer updated model, and both still deliver top-tier performances that cater to a wide variety of driving preferences and requirements.
