Michelin ALPIN 7

Winter
Premium
8.5 /10 Recommended

Michelin has unveiled the ALPIN 7 winter tyre, featuring an advanced tread design with additional sipes and an evolving tread pattern to maintain traction as the tyre wears. The new model aims to enhance braking and acceleration on snowy and wet roads while improving overall efficiency for a variety of vehicles. Unlike the Alpin 6, which was considered a bit overpriced for its performance, the Alpin 7 is expected to offer better value and address concerns in upcoming winter tests.

Pros & Cons

Strengths

Excellent grip and traction on both dry and wet roads, ensuring precise handling.

Optimized tread design effectively disperses water, offering outstanding wet weather performance.

Durable construction provides a long-lasting tread life and consistent performance over time.

Balanced design leads to superior road handling and overall stability.

Weaknesses

The tire’s premium pricing can make it less accessible compared to more budget-friendly alternatives.

Its aggressive tread design, while enhancing grip, may produce increased road noise at high speeds.

Designed primarily for dry and wet conditions, it offers limited performance in snowy weather.
