From Goodyear’s wide summer portfolio we have chosen just a few tyres based on the most recent independent tests. Below you’ll find concise summaries of their strengths, notable results, and where they stand versus the models they replaced.

- Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 (UHP)
Replaces: Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 (and earlier Asymmetric 3).
Consistently among the front-runners in 2025 tests. Autobild rated it “exemplary” twice: 1st place in 255/55 R18 with praise for balanced performance across surfaces, dynamic cornering and short braking distances, and 2nd in 245/35 R19 for sporty handling, direct steering and strong aquaplaning safety (with wet braking only mid-pack in that size). Tyre Reviews (225/40 R18) called it “highly recommended” with a 4th-place finish; Vi Bilägare (235/55 R19) rated it “good,” and Aftonbladet (225/45 R17) placed it 8th. In short: a very balanced, sporty UHP tyre with strong wet and dry ability that remains size-sensitive in wet braking.

- Goodyear EfficientGrip 2 SUV
Replaces: EfficientGrip SUV.
A long-running test favourite for crossovers and SUVs. Autobild awarded “exemplary” repeatedly: 1st place (215/60 R17, 2021), 1st (235/55 R18, 2022) for very good all-round performance, short wet/dry braking and high comfort; again “exemplary” in 2023 (225/65 R17) with good aquaplaning reserves and comfort (noting a slight price premium), and in 2025 (215/55 R18) where it combined short braking, good cornering dynamics and the best tread life in the cost chapter. Tyre Reviews (2021, 235/55 R18) also rated it highly. Expect confident wet safety, comfort and longevity—an especially compelling choice if mileage matters.

- Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance 2 (car)
Replaces: EfficientGrip Performance. Note: appears in tests as both “EfficientGrip Performance 2” and “Efficient Grip Performance 2.”
A well-rounded touring option with a wet-weather edge. In 2025 it earned “very good” from Auto Motor und Sport (215/55 R17) for strong wet braking and precision, and “recommended” from Motor (205/55 R16). In 2024 it scored “exemplary” with Autobild (205/55 R16), “good” in 225/55 R17, and “recommended” with ACE (225/45 R17). Some tests note longer dry braking and higher rolling resistance, but the overall package remains secure and predictable, especially in the wet. It also appears as original equipment on the Renault Mégane E-TECH in certain sizes.
