Comparison: Uniroyal RainSport 3 vs. Continental PremiumContact 6 vs. Dunlop SP Sport MAXX RT2 vs. Fulda SportControl 2

The comparison on our tyre tests page today is between two summer tyres, the Uniroyal RainSport 3 and the Continental PremiumContact 6. Both are excellent tyres but they do have their unique strengths and weaknesses.

Beginning with Uniroyal's option, the RainSport 3 does not have any previous model. This tyre has an overall rating of 51% according to our tests. Despite being a decent model, it has been replaced by a newer tyre model. There is no mention of the tyre's country of origin or if it was ever used as a first equipment on any vehicle.

From a performance point of view, in an AutoBild test that featured a total of 52 tyres, the RainSport 3 managed to secure the 6th position. This speaks a lot about the tyre's performance and quality. The tyre stands for Uniroyal, a brand that has a history of crafting exceptional tyres.

On the other side of the comparison, we have the Continental PremiumContact 6. This particular tyre model follows up on the Continental ContiPremiumContact 5. According to our test results, the PremiumContact 6 boasts an impressive rating of 87%. Built for touring, this tyre is manufactured in SK, DE, and CZ. Similar to the RainSport 3, there are no records of it being used as first equipment either.

In the same AutoBild test, the PremiumContact 6 emerged as the absolute best securing the 1st position. Its winning features included dry handling, mileage, and price/value. It's worth noting that the PremiumContact 6 has been succeeded by the Continental PremiumContact 7. Continental, the manufacturer of the PremiumContact tyres, is renowned for its premium tyre solutions.

Focusing on the tests data comparison, the PremiumContact 6 closely beats the RainSport 3 regarding overall performance and price/value. We can state that the Continental tyre is generally better and it would be a preferable choice for numerous drivers.

However, the RainSport 3 also does not lag far behind and has its individual strengths, especially in its new tyre model. Hence, it is always advisable for drivers to consider their specific needs and driving styles before making a decision on which tyre to opt for.
