We have here a compare-and-contrast between the Semperit Speed-Life 3 and the Michelin Primacy 4, two notable models by the reputable tyre manufacturers: Semperit and Michelin respectively.

The Semperit Speed-Life 3 is the follow-up to the Semperit Speed-Life, and is a summer tyre. It has an overall rating of 65%, affirming its decent performance in various conditions. Semperit's most recent model received high marks for its aquaplaning and wet braking abilities; still, it sits in the 10th and 12th positions in the ADAC and Autobild tests respectively out of 17 and 53 total tyres.

Strengths for the Semperit Speed-Life 3 include commendable performance on dry terrain and relatively low fuel consumption and wear. However, its less impressive performance on wet surfaces is worth noting. The Semperit Speed-Life 3 also achieved top grades for wet performance and tire wear according to the 2021 ADAC test, but experienced difficulties on dry surfaces.

In contrast, the Michelin Primacy 4, a successor to the Michelin Primacy 3, replaces the model and links to the new Michelin Primacy 4+ tyre . Also a summer tyre, this time with a more specialized touring subtype, the Michelin Primacy 4 was manufactured in ES, DE, and PL, and boasts a considerably higher rating of 84%. Its position in the same tests was strong, ranking 5th in both the ADAC and Autobild tests.

The Michelin Primacy 4 scored well in dry braking, wet circle cornering, safety, and mileage. Other highlights include excellent dry and wet road performance and low wear, according to the ADAC 2022 test. The 2022 Autobild test also states that the tyre exhibited superior handling, good aquaplaning reserves, short braking distances, and very high mileage. While the tyre performed slightly weaker on wet surfaces in the 2021 test, it made up for it with top grades for dry road performance and wear.

In conclusion, both tyres have their strengths and work well on dry and wet pavements. Semperit Speed-Life 3 stands out for its fuel efficiency and wet weather capabilities, while Michelin Primacy 4 excels across various tests and conditions, proving its value as a high-quality touring tyre. That said, the Michelin Primacy 4 seems to have a slight edge overall, especially given its newer model, the Mitchelin Primacy 4+, and its consistently high scores in various tests.
