The comparison at hand pits the Nexen N Blue 4 Season against the Fulda MultiControl. Our own rating was rather harsh for the Nexen with 33%, while the Fulda lagged at 6%.


Both tyres are all-round models, capable of performing in various conditions throughout the year. Made in China and Turkey, the Nexen N Blue 4 Season has made a name for itself in the market. Moreover, it has been superseded by a newer model, the Nexen N Blue 4 Season 2. On the other hand, Fulda MultiControl does not yet have a successor in place.


In a total test featuring 27 tyres, the Nexen N Blue 4 Season claimed the 8th spot in an Autobild test. While it didn't top the list, it impressed with several features such as mileage, price/value, exterior noise, snow cornering and comfort; making it a strong all-round performer. A different scenario manifested for the Fulda MultiControl where, despite finishing further down in 13th, it showcased exemplary dry handling, snow braking, and snow traction characteristics in ACE’s test.


Fulda, a well-renowned tyre manufacturer (http://fulda.com), hasn't yet replaced the MultiControl model. This tyre’s strength lies in its handling capabilities, particularly on dry surfaces, and its notable performance on snowy conditions.


The Nexen N Blue 4 Season, according to Autobild in 2022 and 2020, boasts impressive winter capabilities, exceptional mileage, and attractive pricing, but falls short in wet and dry driving conditions and has longer wet braking distances and increased rolling resistance. However, its appeal is bolstered by its quiet drive and reasonable fuel efficiency thanks to its low rolling resistance.


In conclusion, while neither tyre came out on top in these tests, both offer unique strengths. The Nexen N Blue 4 Season is a strong overall performer with impressive winter capabilities and notable mileage and value for money. On the other hand, the Fulda MultiControl shines with its dry handling and snow performance capabilities.
