They are both summer tyres suitable for touring, with Primacy 4 earning a rating of 89% on our scale - noted for its exceptional performance and the Dynaxer HP4 securing an 82% rating, making it a good overall choice.
Michelin Primacy 4 performed excellent in tests, standing 5th out of 53 tyres tested by Autobild, applauded for its dry handling and comfort. The strong points of Primacy 4 include handling characteristics, sharp response, good aquaplaning reserves, and short braking distances. Not to forget, it offers high mileage and low rolling resistance although it is priced on a higher end. Some minor weaknesses include slight drawbacks on wet surfaces.
Kleber Dynaxer HP4, on the other hand, held 14th position out of 53 in Autobild tests, appreciated for its comfort and exterior noise reduction, and 11th out of 17 by ADAC. Good aquaplaning features, short stopping distances on wet and dry tarmac, great riding comfort, and low noise level has been its plus points. However, not so lively grip on wet surfaces, delayed steering response, and under-steering behavior on dry pavement were observed. Visit Kleber to learn more about their unique range of tyres.
In mutual tests, Michelin Primacy 4 overall outperformed Kleber Dynaxer HP4, specifically in handling and dry braking, which is vital for safety. However, both tyres faced mild challenges on wet surfaces. If pricing is not a barrier, Michelin Primacy 4 could be a better choice for its superior performance and higher ratings, while Kleber Dynaxer HP4 is best suited for those prioritizing comfort and noise reduction.
