Comparison: Michelin Primacy 3 vs. Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3

In our test comparison, we are analysing two summer tyres: Michelin Primacy 3 and Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3. Both these models have been replaced by newer versions, namely Michelin Primacy 4 and Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 respectively.

The Michelin Primacy 3 is of unknown manufacture origin and places as the 9th out of 11 tyres in the ACE test, falling short against its competitors. When tested by Autobild, the Michelin tyre dropped to 10th place from a total of 52 tyres, again a less than impressive result. It could secure the 8th position in the GTÜ test out of 14 tyres. Overall, the Michelin Primacy 3 failed to feature any notable strengths, a factor adding to its less significant impact in the test comparison.

On the other hand, the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3, made in Germany, performed significantly better across all tests. In the ACE test, the tyre placed 8th out of 11, outperforming the Michelin Primacy 3. It further excelled in the Autobild test, where it secured an 8th position among 52 tyres. The Goodyear tyre showed a triumphant performance in the GTÜ test, securing the 2nd position out of 14, thereby cementing its supremacy over the Michelin tyre. The Goodyear tyre was particularly noted for its dry driving behaviour, emphasizing its strengths.

Upon reviewing the test results, the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 outperforms the Michelin Primacy 3 in all comparative tests. While both from reputable manufacturers, the Goodyear summer tyre exhibits superior features and performance, particularly in dry conditions, marking it as the favourable choice for safety and reliability.

However, it's important to keep in mind that both of these models have already been replaced by newer versions by Michelin and Goodyear, and those could perform differently. Overall, considering the test results, the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 edges the competition offering excellent value and performance in comparison to the Michelin Primacy 3.
