Comparison: Michelin Pilot Sport 4 vs. Bridgestone Potenza S001 vs. Continental PremiumContact 6 vs. Vredestein Ultrac Vorti

Our website visitors often ask us to compare various products to assist them in making their decisions. With that in mind, here is our comparison of two popular summer tyres, the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 and the Bridgestone Potenza S001.

Michelin Pilot Sport 4 is a successor to the well-regarded Pilot Sport 3 tyre. Our rating for it is 75%, and it's made in Spain and Germany. It stands out for its superior performance in several areas. In AutoBild's tests, it ranked first out of 50 tyres, impressing particularly in the areas of longitudinal aquaplaning and dry braking. Other tests by ADAC pointed to its mileage as another strength. This tyre has been replaced by the Michelin Pilot Sport 5, but its legacy of performance and quality persists. You can check out more about Michelin's range of tyres here.

On the other hand, we have the Bridgestone Potenza S001, a tyre with no rated predecessor in our system. We are still in the process of reviewing and rating this particular model, so stay tuned for updates. Even though it hasn't been rated by our team yet, it has been part of some important tyre tests. It ranked 3rd in the AutoBild test, with highlighted performance in longitudinal aquaplaning and dry braking, mirroring the Michelin tyre's strengths. The Potenza S001 didn't perform as well in the ADAC test, coming in 9th with cross aquaplaning as its best feature. Check out more about Bridgestone's line of tyres here.

In conclusion, based on performances in both tests, the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 comes out as the better tyre overall. However, each driver has their own unique needs, and the Bridgestone Potenza S001 may be a suitable choice for those prioritising certain features. Remember, it's essential to choose a tyre that suits your driving style and the specific conditions in which you regularly drive.

Stay tuned for updates on our website, as we will continue to bring you the latest tyre tests and reviews. Drive safe!
