The GoodYear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 and the Nexen N fera Sport are two summer tyres that offer distinct levels of performance. Below is an analytical comparison of these two products, based on multiple tyre tests, considering several parameters such as handling, comfort, noise, and braking.

The Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5, made either in Slovenia or Germany, comes with an impressive rating of 80%. It represents a significant improvement over its predecessor, the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 and has been replaced by an even newer model, the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 recently. Notably, it displays an excellent performance in terms of aquaplaning, being cross and longitudinal, and braking, both in wet and dry conditions. Speaking of comfort and noise, this model stands among the top choices.

On the other hand, the Nexen N fera Sport, an Ultra High-Performance (UHP) tyre made in the Czech Republic, scores a little lower in ratings at 59% in our test. Interestingly, it enjoys the distinction of being the first choice for the BMW 2-series Active Tourer. In direct comparison tests, the Nexen model occupied positions in the mid-range, occasionally falling to the lower end compared to the Goodyear tyre. Nonetheless, its performance regarding longitudinal aquaplaning, wet braking, and especially its low exterior noise feature have been appreciated by the testers.

Collectively, on observing comparative data from tests by Autozeitung, AutoMotorSport, Autobild, and ADAC, one can conclude that Goodyear outperforms Nexen in most dimensions. Indeed, both the tyres show their strengths in mileage as per the ADAC test, with Goodyear carving a niche for itself in terms of wet handling as per Autobild's data. Despite this, the Nexen N fera holds its own in the higher segment with the advantage of lesser exterior noise.

In overall comparison, the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 seems to offer a more balanced performance and thus, can be considered superior to the Nexen N fera Sport. If top-notch performance on all fronts is what you are after, Goodyear seems to be the better bet, while Nexen provides specific advantage points like comfort and lesser noise.
