The Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 and Falken Azenis FK510 are both summer tyres, however they showcase differing results in various tests. Overall, as per our rating, the residents of Falken are strong contenders with a commendable score of 71%.


Under Automotorsport's test, the Goodyear fell slightly behind Falken with placing 6th out of 10. While its best feature was its rolling resistance, it failed to surpass the Falken, which achieved the 5th place with strengths in exterior noise, wet braking, and wet safety.


The ACE test also suggested a similar outcome. Goodyear placed 8th, performing best in dry driving behaviour. Contrarily, the superior Falken stole the show by landing the first position. It demonstrated exceptional performance in dry driving behaviour, dry handling, exterior noise, wet braking and wet handling.


In the Autobild test, out of a greater sample size of 52 tyres, the Goodyear landed the 8th position while Falken astonishingly bagged the 3rd position. The GTÜ test saw Goodyear performing better at 2nd position, surpassing Falken at 5th. Lastly, in the Sportscars test both the tyres were neck and neck, landing the third and fourth positions respectively.


It is important to note that the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 replaced the Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 while the Falken Azenis FK520 replaced the Azenis FK510.


To conclude, both tyres have their merits and scored well across various categories. However, the numbers tend to incline towards the Falken Azenis FK510 as the better tyre overall, particularly emphasising excellent noise reduction and safety under wet conditions. Therefore the FK510 is the recommended tyre based on these independent review results.
