Comparison: Falken ZIEX ZE310 Ecorun vs. Hankook Ventus Prime3 K125

Introducing two popular summer tyres, the Falken ZIEX ZE310 Ecorun and the Hankook Ventus Prime3 K125. The former boasts an 87% rating, while the latter has an 88% rating. We will compare both tyres based on test results and reviews from three reputable sources: Autobild, ACE, and AutoMotorSport.

From the Autobild test, the Falken ZIEX ZE310 Ecorun secured the 6th position out of 51 tyres. On the other hand, the Hankook Ventus Prime3 K125 came out on top, securing the 1st position. The Hankook tyre stood out in terms of dry braking, dry handling, and wet braking.

In the ACE test, the Falken tyre performed better, securing the 5th position out of 9 tyres. This tyre was replaced by the newer Hankook Ventus Prime 4.

Taking into account test results from all sources, it becomes evident that the Hankook Ventus Prime3 K125 performs better overall, especially in tests related to dry braking, dry handling, and wet braking. However, the Falken ZIEX ZE310 Ecorun showcases impressive aquaplaning resistance, dry driving behavior, and wet handling.

Our verdict: the Hankook Ventus Prime3 K125 is slightly more outstanding compared to the Falken ZIEX ZE310 Ecorun, excelling in dry braking, handling, and wet braking, which are critical factors for most drivers. Nevertheless, both tyres offer top-quality performance and excellent features, making them both great summer tyre options.
