Comparison: Debica Presto HP2 vs. Firestone Roadhawk vs. Maxxis Premitra HP5

If you're in the market for new summer tyres, the Debica Presto HP2 and the Firestone Roadhawk are two options you might consider. Both have undergone rigorous testing and have proven to be reliable, however, there are some main differences between them that you should be aware of.

Starting with the Debica Presto HP2, this tyre saw an overall ranking of 84% in our tests. Its best attributes according to Autobild tests were its impressive price to value ratio, taking 16th position out of 53 tested in the contest. When it comes to its performance in specific areas, the tests revealed that this tyre boasted a good environmental efficiency, exceptional longevity, and low wear. However, the tyre still showed some shortcomings, particularly in the realm of driving safety, where it fell a bit short.

On the other hand, we have the Firestone Roadhawk. At 72% overall ranking in our tests, this tyre outperformed the Debica Presto HP2 in the Autobild test, securing the 10th position. Our tests revealed that the Firestone Roadhawk has incredibly strong dry handling attributes and handled well under wet conditions, which puts its performance a step ahead of its competitor. Despite of its strong features, the tyre displayed a notable weakness in its performance under wet conditions, and its lifecycle was also shorter compared to others.

In a direct comparison, the Debica Presto HP2 and Firestone Roadhawk both have their strengths and weaknesses. The Debica Presto HP2 stands out for its price to value ratio and longevity, but struggles with driving safety. Meanwhile, the Firestone Roadhawk excels in dry handling and wet side guides, but its performance under wet conditions and shorter lifecycle may make it less appealing for some drivers.

Neither of these models has been replaced with a newer version yet, meaning that you can expect both tyres to feature the same qualities and performance as detailed above. All in all, both tyres provide a unique set of features, and the best one will ultimately depend on your personal driving needs and preferences.
