The Cooper Zeon CS8 and the Firestone Roadhawk are top quality summer tyres made by renowned manufacturers Cooper and Firestone respectively. These tyres have both demonstrated impressive features and abilities in a number of tests. However, each tyre possesses its own unique strengths and weaknesses.

Starting with the Cooper Zeon CS8, this tyre delivered a solid performance scoring 56% on our rating scale. In comparison tests, the Zeon CS8 ranked 13th out of 51 tyres in Autobild's test, and 14th out of 16 tyres in ADAC's test. Particularly advantageous on wet roads, the Zeon CS8 still demonstrates some drawbacks. In Autobild's 2019 test, it was noted that the tyre has significant weaknesses on dry roads, low mileage and limitations in terms of efficiency and sustainability.

On the other hand, the Firestone Roadhawk offers a higher overall performance with a 72% rating from us. The Roadhawk outperformed the Zeon CS8 in both Autobild's and ADAC's tests, securing the 3rd and 4th positions respectively. According to Autobild 2019 tests results, the roadhawk performs well on dry surfaces, scoring the best in terms of dry handling and safety. Nonetheless, the tyre was reported to have some weaknesses on wet surfaces and in terms of mileage.

In summary, both the Cooper Zeon CS8 and the Firestone Roadhawk are commendable summer tyres. The Zeon CS8 may appeal to drivers seeking good performance on wet roads, despite some concerns about efficiency and sustainability. In contrast, the Roadhawk presents as a more balanced option, excelling greatly on dry roads and slightly less so on wet roads.
