Comparison: Bridgestone Potenza S001 vs. Nexen N fera Sport

Comparing two popular summer tyres, we have the Bridgestone Potenza S001 and the Nexen N fera Sport. Both these tyres come from respected manufacturers, Bridgestone and Nexen, respectively and have been put through their paces in a number of tests.

The Bridgestone Potenza S001 is a summer tyre, however, it doesn't currently have any rating from our site. It has performed well in a variety of tests, notably ranking third in a field of 50 tyres in a test by Autobild. This tyre was particularly strong in cross aquaplaning according to ADAC's test, however, its overall ranking was 9 amongst a group of 16 tyres. On the other hand, the Nexen N fera Sport is a UHP (Ultra High Performance) summer tyre made in Czech Republic. It has an impressive rating of 67% from our testing. The Nexen N fera Sport has been noted for its first-rate performance in a variety of areas such as longitudinal aquaplaning, wet braking, and mileage. This tyre secured a position of 7 in Autobild's test of 50 tyres and finished fifth on ADAC's ranking of 16 tyres. Nexen N fera Sport has made a name for itself as a distinguished tyre, even being assosicated as first equipment to the esteemed BMW 2-series Active Tourer.

To sum it up, the Bridgestone Potenza S001 and Nexen N fera Sport are quality summer tyres that provide reliable performance in a variety of conditions. The Bridgestone has shown to have strength in cross aquaplaning, whilst the Nexen has proven its merit in several areas making it effective in more specific scenarios. Ultimately, the Nexen N fera Sport slightly edges out the Bridgestone Potenza S001 in total test rankings as showcased in both Autobild and ADAC tests. Nonetheless, both are earnest contenders if you're considering new summer tyres.
