Comparison: Yokohama Advan Sport V107 vs. Linglong Sport Master

The Yokohama Advan Sport V107 and Linglong Sport Master are both summer tyres that cater to drivers who appreciate a blend of performance and comfort. Despite having stark differences in their test results, both offer commendable features worth considering.

Test results from Autobild reveal the Yokohama Advan Sport V107 as a strong performer in terms of dry braking, securing 4th place out of a staggering 50 tyres laboratory tested. In fact, dry braking emerged as its most praised feature. However, the Yokohama Advan Sport V107 tyre was noted to have limited tread life, command a higher price, and present a higher rolling resistance, which may be reasons for concern. Furthermore, this tyre model has not been replaced by a newer model yet, as confirmed by Yokohama.

On the other hand, Linglong Sport Master stood out for its impressively low exterior noise, managing to capture the 7th position in the same Autobild test. This high-performance UHP tyre is touted for its short braking distances, dynamic handling, and good lateral support in all weather conditions. However, it is worth mentioning that the Linglong Sport Master's tread life was notably short-lived, as indicated in Autobild 2023's test. Likewise, this Linglong model has yet to be superseded by a newer model.

Upon comparing the data from the tests on both tyres, it can be concluded that the Linglong Sport Master seems to edge out Yokohama Advan Sport V107 with its slightly better our rating of 72% against the latter's 59%. However, the decision may largely boil down to a driver's preferences, as Yokohama Advan Sport V107 is a preferable option if dry braking is a priority, while Linglong Sport Master impresses with its lower external noise emissions.

Still, both tyres offer admirable performances under various parameters, showing that they are more than capable of meeting varying driver expectations. In the end, it is recommended to make a choice based on the factors that are most important to you as a driver, be it noise level, dry braking, or any other performance criterion.
