Detailed head-to-head comparison based on actual test results
Today, we will be comparing two all-round tyres, the Vredestein Quatrac and the Continental AllSeasonContact, manufactured by Vredestein and Continental respectively. Taking into account our own ratings and various test results, there are a few important points to highlight.
Made in HU, the Vredestein Quatrac scored a strong 94% in our ratings. It truly proved its mettle in the Autobild test where it snagged the second position out of 32 tested tyres. Some of its remarkable features include wet circle cornering, wet and dry braking, comfort and wet handling. Clearly, if wet conditions and general comfort are your concerns, this tyre truly excels. On the downside, based on the Autobild 2022 review, it has a mediocre tyre life.
On the other hand, the Continental AllSeasonContact, produced in SK, CZ, and FR, clinched a 76% in our ratings. It showed quite a good performance holding the eighth position in the Autobild test. Interestingly, it exceeds in snowy conditions with exceptional features like snow braking, cornering, handling, and traction. However, according to Autobild 2021 and 2022 reviews, it has extended braking distances on dry roads and limited tyre life and economy.
In terms of mutual test position, the Vredestein Quatrac consistently performed better than the Continental AllSeasonContact. However, tyre choice greatly depends on your specific needs. If you often drive in wet conditions or value comfort, the Vredestein Quatrac is an excellent choice. For snowy conditions, the Continental AllSeasonContact will serve you better.
To summarize, both tyres are competent in their respective domains. However, no newer models have replaced these two tyres yet. With this review, we hope you will be able to make an informed decision on the tyre that best suits your needs.<\/p>
