The aim of this comparison is to give you a detailed picture of the two all-rounders, the Vredestein Quatrac Pro and the Continental AllSeasonContact.

Let's start with the Vredestein Quatrac Pro, which has since been replaced by the Vredestein Quatrac Pro+. Made in Hungary, this tyre exhibits strong performance particularly in noise reduction. Its high-ranking features include, Snow braking, Wet braking, Wet circle cornering, wet handling, and Comfort. It attained an excellent third position out of 31 in the Autobild test. However, it showed limitations in the areas of Wet grip and Aquaplaning according to autobild 2020. Similarly, the TyreReviews.com 2022 reported this tyre to have shortcomings in terms of Snow and Dry grip but compliments its Wet grip capabilities.

On the other hand, there is the Continental AllSeasonContact. Manufactured in Slovakia, the Czech Republic, and France, it scored slightly better overall with a 77% rating. The Continental all-rounder was lauded for good winter abilities, stable wet handling, and short braking distance on wet surfaces in Autobild test, achieving an impressive 6th position out of 31. Its top-rated features include Wet circle cornering, Aquaplaning - cross, Snow braking, Snow cornering, and Comfort. TyreReviews.com 2022 test complimented its handling abilities in Wet and Dry conditions in addition to its Snow Braking. However, it was reported to have a high level of internal noise and poor Snow Traction.

Both tyres have proven themselves to be good performers in various aspects, but the Continental AllSeasonContact outperforms the Vredestein Quatrac Pro in most of the tests and is overall a better choice in comparison.

However, every driver's needs are different, and some might prefer the noise reduction focus of the Vredestein Quatrac Pro, while for others, the wet and snow handling of the Continental AllSeasonContact might be more significant. Therefore, it's crucial to choose a tyre based on the specific driving conditions you face most often.

As a summary, for Vredestein Quatrac Pro, strength lies in its Wet braking, Wet handling, and Comfort; however, it does need to improve its performance concerning wet grip and dry grip. For Continental AllSeasonContact, the plus points are its performance on Wet and Snowy surfaces and rolling resistance; however, the tyre could do with fewer internal Noise levels and enhanced Snow traction abilities.

Before deciding, make sure also to check the new Quatrac Pro+, which may improve some of the weak points of the original model.
