We will be comparing two models; one is the Toyo Proxes T1 Sport by Toyo Tires and the other is the Dunlop SP Sport MAXX RT2 by Dunlop Tires. Both are summer tyres, but how they fare against each other in tests is something to consider.

Let's start with the Toyo Proxes T1 Sport. It's a summer tyre originating from Japan. It is clear from our tests that the Toyo Proxes T1 Sport performed significantly below expectations, with a rating of 37%. It particularly stood out in "Exterior noise", scoring a 14th position out of a total of 52 tyres tested in Autobild, and a 9th position out of 9 tyres in the EVO test. Unfortunately, as of now, there is no newer tyre model that has replaced the Toyo Proxes T1 Sport.

Moving on to its competitor, the Dunlop SP Sport MAXX RT2, it significantly overshadows the Toyo T1 Sport with a considerable rating of 79%. With its subtype being UUHP (Ultra Ultra High Performance), the Dunlop SP Sport MAXX RT2 performed remarkably better, landing at the 7th position in the Autobild test and showing noticeable prowess by clinching the 5th position in the EVO test. Like the Toyo T1 Sport, there is currently no newer tyre model that replaced the Dunlop SP MAXX RT2 tyre model.

Summary:
Based on the comparison, it is clear that the Dunlop SP Sport MAXX RT2 is performing significantly better in the tests when pitted against the Toyo Proxes T1 Sport. Both tyres are good performers, but the UUHP subType of the Dunlop SP Sport MAXX RT2 sets it a class apart, reflecting in the considerably higher performance and our test rating.

However, the Toyo Proxes T1 Sport held its own in terms of exterior noise, scoring admirably amongst many other tyres tested. This could make it an ideal choice for those looking for a quieter ride.

It should be noted that while each of these tyres has its strengths and weaknesses, the choice comes down to individual needs. If the quietness of the ride is of priority, Toyo Proxes T1 Sport is the one to consider, but for overall performance, the Dunlop SP Sport MAXX RT2 does indeed reign supreme.

There is no one-size-fits-all when it comes to tyres. But given all the facts and data, our verdict would lean towards Dunlop SP Sport MAXX RT2 for its overall performance.
