The following is a comparison of two distinct models of summer tyres, the Toyo Proxes T1 Sport designed in Japan by Toyo, and the Continental PremiumContact 6 created in Germany, Slovakia, and Czech by Continental. It's important to mention that the latter model has officially been replaced by the Continental PremiumContact 7.

The Toyo Proxes T1 Sport struggles to compete with the Continental PremiumContact 6 in several categories. In the AutoMotorSport test, the Toyo-model came 10th out of 11 tyres and only performed well in Dry Steering Response. In contrast, the Continental PremiumContact 6 secured the third position excelling in features like Dry Handling, Dry Lane Changing, and Dry Steering Response. In the Autobild test, Toyo model further ceded ground by coming 14th out of 52 tyres showing moderate results in Exterior Noise, while Continental tyre secured the victorious first place emerging superior in Dry Handling, Mileage, and Price/Value aspects.

In ADAC testing, Toyo Proxes T1 Sport landed a disappointing 13th out of 16, while Continental PremiumContact 6 shined again coming first and scoring best in Mileage, Wet Braking, Wet Circle Cornering, and Wet Handling. Over at Automotorsport, the Toyo model gained the 8th position among 11 tyres, displaying moderate features in Aquaplaning - Longitudinal and Exterior Noise. The Continental tyre got the upper hand by appearing again in the top 3, scoring well in Dry Handling, Dry Lane Changing, and Dry Handling - Objective. Finally, even in EVO testing, the Toyo Proxes T1 Sport finished 9th out of 9, while the Continental model showed a positive trend and ended up in the 3rd position.

In summary, the Continental PremiumContact 6 ranks consistently higher than its competitor in all the tests. Its strengths lie mainly in the Dry and Wet Handling, Dry Lane Changing, Mileage, and Price/Value aspects. The Toyo Proxes T1 Sport, although faltering in comparative position, is appreciated for Exterior Noise and Dry Steering Response. Therefore, considering the overall strengths and weaknesses, the Continental PremiumContact 6 appears to be the superior choice between the two.
