When comparing summer tyres, two options that often come up are the Tomket Sport and the Kleber Dynaxer HP4. These tyres are produced by manufacturers Tomket and Kleber respectively. Both tyres have seen testing and have unique strengths and weaknesses.
Our testing scored the Tomket Sport at 11% overall, highlighting its primary weakness as being unbalanced in performance. Especially on dry and wet surfaces, the model was found lacking. On the other hand, its lightweight design and efficiency with low wear are seen as advantages in our Autobild 2024 test. Its main fault was a short lifespan and significant weakness in sustainability. In mutual tests, the Tomket Sport was typically positioned in the lower ranks, seen in its 49th place out of 53 in the Autobild test and 37th place out of 50 in the ADAC test.
On the other side, we have the Kleber Dynaxer HP4, which showed far better results in tests with an overall score of 76%. The model demonstrated excellent performance in terms of comfort and exterior noise reduction. As per the Autobild 2024, its strengths include environmental balance, mileage, and resistance to wear and tear. Despite this, it was marked down for its unbalanced performance, especially on wet roads. The ADAC test listed the Dynaxer HP4 in 12th position, and Autobild's test also placed it in a respectable 14th position.
It is worth noting that neither the Tomket Sport nor the Kleber Dynaxer HP4 has been replaced by a newer model yet. This information reinforces that both are recent and top-of-the-line products with continually improving performance.
In conclusion, while the Tomket Sport provides efficiency and minimal wear, its performance falters on wet and dry surfaces alike. The Kleber Dynaxer HP4, nevertheless, offers great comfort and handles noise well, but suffers from a slightly unbalanced performance. When considering test placement, the Dynaxer HP4 outperforms the Tomket Sport, making it the more favourable summer tyre. However, the final choice would ultimately depend on specific driver needs and road conditions.
