When it comes to comparing the Semperit Speed-Life 3 and the Fulda SportControl 2, a thorough examination of their respective performance in tests and their key features are crucial. Both are exceptional summer tyres manufactured by Semperit and Fulda respectively, but differences are evident upon close inspection.

The Semperit Speed-Life 3, which succeeded the Semperit Speed-Life, showcased impressive handling on wet roads, notable projected mileage and low wear and tear according to the autobild 2018 test. It also distinguished itself by its efficiency. However, its performance on dry roads was less noteworthy. The tyre's position in tests conducted by Autobild and ADAC were 43rd out of 51 and 14th out of 16 respectively, forming an overall score of 47% in our rating.

Fulda SportControl 2 on the other hand showed robust aquaplaning reserves with short braking distances on both wet and dry pavement. Value for money was another strong area for this tyre. Yet, the Fulda SportControl 2 seriously lagged in terms of steering response and tread life. The tyre secured 13th and 7th position in Autobild and ADAC tests respectively out of total tyres tested, resulting in a higher overall score of 69% in our rating.

Overall, the Fulda SportControl 2 delivers a more rounded performance in tests, thus edging out the Semperit Speed-Life 3. However, if potential longevity and efficiency on wet roads are your primary concerns, you might still want to consider the Semperit Speed-Life 3.

Last but not least, neither the Semperit Speed-Life 3 nor the Fulda SportControl 2 have been replaced by newer models yet, hence, they remain relevant choices for anyone looking for reliable summer tyres.
