The two tyres we'll be comparing today are the Nokian zLine and the Dunlop SP Sport MAXX RT2.
Nokian zLine is a summer tyre that, unfortunately, did not fare too well in our rating system, earning a score of 0%. In the Autobild test featuring a total of 52 tyres, it ranked 20th. When it faced off against 14 other tyres in the GTÜ test, it fared better and landed in 6th place. The Nokian zLine does not have a predecessor or a newer model that replaced it.
A competitor to the Nokian zLine is the Dunlop SP Sport MAXX RT2. This Ultra Ultra High Performance (UUHP) summer tyre ranked very highly in our rating, scoring 72%. In Autobild's test, it scored an impressive 7th place out of the 52 tyres that were tested. The GTÜ test also saw the Dunlop SP Sport MAXX RT2 excelling, where it landed the 3rd place spot out of 14 tyres. Currently, there is no newer model replacing the Dunlop SP Sport MAXX RT2.
Upon summarizing all the data, it's clear that the Dunlop SP Sport MAXX RT2 has shown superior performance compared to the Nokian zLine. Both Nokian and Dunlop are reputable manufacturers with a long history in the tyre industry, but in terms of these specific models, the Dunlop SP Sport MAXX RT2 currently takes the lead.
Should Nokian decide to better the zLine model, we look forward to its improvements. Meanwhile, Dunlop can take pride in the fact that the SP Sport MAXX RT2 has earned high marks and positions in several tests, proving its reliability and quality.
