The Nokian WeatherProof from Nokian Tyres and the Michelin CrossClimate+ from Michelin are both strong contenders in the allround tyre segment. Let's delve into a detailed comparison based on test results from multiple sources to see which tyre demonstrates superior performance.

Nokian WeatherProof finished in 9th position (out of a total of 27 tyres tested) in the Autobild test, and its highlights include excellent Aquaplaning - cross, Rolling Resistance, Snow Braking, Snow Handling, and Snow Traction performance. It secured 4th position in both ADAC and ACE tests, excelling in Snow Braking and Snow Traction. Nevertheless, in the AutoMotorSport test, it landed on the 6th position. However, according to the ADAC 2020 survey, it has certain shortcomings like being relatively loud and weak on dry roads. The tyre did not have a previous model, nor has it been replaced by a newer model.

On the other hand, the Michelin CrossClimate+ ranked an impressive 2nd in the Autobild test, scoring highly on Dry Braking, Exterior Noise, Rolling Resistance, Dry Handling, Mileage, and Price/Value features. This tyre secured the 3rd place in the ADAC and AutoMotorSport tests. According to Autobild 2020, the CrossClimate+ offers balanced performance across weather conditions with premium all-year driving capabilities, precise steering, high mileage, and low rolling resistance. However, the high price level was marked as a downside.

Comparatively, the Michelin CrossClimate+ tends to perform better overall, outperforming the Nokian WeatherProof in most of the tests. The optimum performance across weather conditions, excellent dry braking, and handling capabilities, combined with lower rolling resistance and a high level of mileage, make the Michelin CrossClimate+ a more desirable choice, despite its higher price.

On the flip side, based on multiple test results, the Nokian WeatherProof delivers strong performance in regard to Rolling Resistance and Snow Handling, which can be beneficial for drivers faced with frequent snowy conditions. Yet, the tyre lacks efficiency on dry surfaces and displays higher exterior noise level, which might impact user comfort.

In conclusion, while both tyres display strong performance in different areas, the Michelin CrossClimate+ emerges as the better all-round tyre choice over the Nokian WeatherProof, primarily due to its consistent performance across weather conditions and superior dry handling capabilities. However, choosing the right tyre largely depends on the specific driving conditions and personal preferences of the driver.
