Today we are comparing two summer tyres - the Nexen N fera Sport and the Michelin Pilot Sport 5. Both appreciated by drivers around the world for their unique characteristics, but how do they perform in various tests?

The Nexen N fera Sport is a summer tyre with Ultra High Performance (UHP) subclass, manufactured in the Czech Republic, also used as first equipment on BMW 2-series Active Tourer. It received a rating of 67% on our site. According to Autobild, it was ranked 14th out of 50 tested tyres. On ADAC and ACE, it secured the 10th and 9th positions respectively. The best feature of this tyre is it's exterior noise according to ACE. However, the Nexen tyre also received some criticism for its aquaplaning reserves, short braking and low rolling resistance.

On the other hand, Michelin Pilot Sport 5, a tyre with an Ultra Ultra high-performance (UUHP) subclass replaced the previous models of Michelin Pilot Sport 4 and Pilot Sport 3. The tyre got a significantly higher rating in our evaluation - 96%. In Autobild's test, it achieved the 6th position, while in ADAC and ACE it ranked as the 3rd best tyre. The tyre excelled in various categories such as mileage, wet braking and cross aquaplaning. However, its high price was considered a disadvantage in the ACE 2023 test.

Comparatively, the Michelin Pilot Sport 5 seems to outperform the Nexen N fera Sport in most categories, standing out especially when it comes to handling characteristics, mileage and braking efficiency on both wet and dry surfaces. After summing the data from all the tests, we can conclude that the Michelin Pilot Sport 5 is the superior tyre, despite its high price.

However, the choice always depends on personal preference and specific needs of the drivers, and both tyres, produced by Nexen and Michelin respectively, offer high performance and reliability.
