Here, we are comparing two summer tyres, the Nankang Sportnex AS-2+ and the Falken Azenis FK510, in terms of their performance and test results. Judging by our ratings, the Azenis FK510 (Falken) had a considerably higher score (71%) compared to the Sportnex AS-2+ (20%)

Starting with the Nankang Sportnex AS-2+, this tyre has performed in a mediocre way during our tests, which is reflected in its relatively low rating. In the Autobild test, where 52 tyres were compared, the Sportnex AS-2+ came in the 24th position. This tyre seems to have quite satisfactory characteristics when it comes to aquaplaning resistance (both cross and longitudinal) and exterior noise levels. In another test conducted by Automotorsport, out of 11 tyres, this one took the 10th place. Nonetheless, besides the stronger points mentioned earlier, this model also presented decent comfort and wet handling - objective scores.

On the other hand, we have the Falken Azenis FK510, a tyre that has been replaced by Falken Azenis FK520 in the company's lineup. In the Autobild test, the Azenis FK510 reached high podium, placing 3rd out of 52 tyres. Its strengths proved to be in the areas of wet braking and wet handling. Adding to this, it also managed to score very well in the Automotorsport test, again taking the 3rd place out of 11. Along with the wet braking, this Falken model also provides low exterior noise and an impressive sense of wet safety.

To summarize, both tyres have their strengths and weaknesses. The Nankang Sportnex AS-2+ stands out in terms of aquaplaning resistance and noise levels but seriously lags behind in other categories, hence our lower ranking score. The Falken Azenis FK510, which was made in Japan and Turkey, outperforms it in almost every area, providing a particularly impressive performance in the wet conditions and safety aspects. This is reflected in our ratings, as well as in the tyre’s position in the tests.
