When it comes to selecting the perfect tyres for your vehicle, it is important to review multiple options, such as the Michelin Primacy 3 and the Maxxis Premitra HP5. By comparing these two summer tyres, we hope to help you make the optimal choice for your specific needs and preferences.
The Michelin Primacy 3, crafted by the renowned Michelin manufacturer, is a high-performing summer tyre. However, it should be noted that this model has been replaced by the newer and improved Michelin Primacy 4. Despite this, the Michelin Primacy 3 still brings forward impeccable quality.
With regards to performance, in ACE tests, the Michelin Primacy 3 ranked 9th out of a total of 11 tyres, while in Autobild tests, it ranked 10th out of 52 tyres. While these results mark it as a reliable choice, it is worthwhile to note that there is room for improvement in certain conditions.
On the other hand, the Maxxis Premitra HP5 performed exceptionally well in both ACE and Autobild tests, outperforming the Michelin Primacy 3. In the ACE tests, the Maxxis Premitra HP5 stole the show by ranking 6th which, when combined with its highlighting feature of excellent Dry Handling, makes it a standout option.
Manufactured by Maxxis, this summer tyre transitioned smoothly to the Autobild tests, presenting even bolder features, achieving the commendable rate of 18th position among 52 tyres tested, thus superseding the Michelin Primacy 3.
In conclusion, while Michelin Primacy 3 is a decent tyre for summer, the Maxxis Premitra HP5 seems to perform better in direct comparison, especially highlighting its 'dry handling' element. It is however crucial to underline that the Michelin Primacy 3 has been replaced by the newer Primacy 4, which may provide an even better performance than its predecessor. As a result, the Maxxis Premitra HP5 could be an excellent alternative for those drivers who prioritize performance in dry conditions and overall better test results.
