Comparison: Michelin Pilot Sport 4 vs. Bridgestone Turanza T005 vs. Hankook Ventus S1 evo3 K127 vs. Continental PremiumContact 6

Comparing two summer tyres for a sporty drive, we have the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 and the Bridgestone Turanza T005. Both these tyres have the reputation of their respective manufacturers, Michelin and Bridgestone, to uphold.

Let's dive into the details to identify the strengths and weaknesses of each. The Michelin Pilot Sport 4, succeeding the Michelin Pilot Sport 3, is made in Spain and Germany. Our rating for this summer tyre is a commendable 88%. This model gets replaced by the Michelin Pilot Sport 5.

On the other hand, the Bridgestone Turanza T005, a touring subtype, is made in Hungary, Poland, France, and Italy. Its rating stands marginally higher than its competitor, at 89%. However, there is currently no newer tyre model replacing it.

In AutoMotorSport's comparison, Michelin Pilot Sport 4 stood second, impressing in Dry steering response, Aquaplaning - longitudinal, Dry braking, Dry handling, and Wet handling. On the flip side, the Bridgestone Turanza T005 could only manage sixth place but had commendable Rolling resistance, Wet braking, and Wet handling.

In a more recent Automotorsport 2022's review, Michelin Pilot Sport 4 was praised for being spontaneous, direct, precise and dynamic on dry tracks, even fulfilling sportier demands. Nonetheless, it had a narrow limit under wet conditions and was rather sensitive to puddles. Bridgestone Turanza T005 was deemed the strongest tyre in wet conditions, despite a slight aquaplaning weakness. It was quite balanced and dynamic on dry asphalt as well.

The Autobild's test featured 53 tyres and saw Michelin Pilot Sport 4 secure the second position again, with accolades for Aquaplaning - cross and longitudal, and Wet handling. Bridgestone Turanza T005 was 10th, primarily lauded for its Rolling resistance.

In conclusion, both tyres offer their unique upsides, with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 clearly performing better overall in different tests. Nonetheless, Bridgestone Turanza T005's grip under wet conditions and superior rolling resistance are noteworthy.
