In this tyre comparison review we will be examining Maxxis Premitra HP5 from Maxxis and Kleber Dynaxer HP3 from Kleber, both being summer tyres.
On a general note, the Maxxis Premitra HP5 outperforms the Kleber Dynaxer HP3 in our tests, securing a rating of 78% while the latter scored just 41%. No previous models for these tyres are available. In addition, neither of these models has been replaced by a newer version so far.
The Maxxis Premitra HP5 clinched the 3rd position in the ADAC test which included 12 tyres in total. It showcased strength in areas such as Aquaplaning - longitudal, Dry braking, and Wet circle cornering. On the other hand, in the AutoBild test that included 52 tyres, Maxxis Premitra HP5 slipped down to 18th place.
Meanwhile, the Kleber Dynaxer HP3 struggled a bit in the tests. It landed the 11th position in the ADAC test out of 12 tyres and dropped down to the 45th position in the AutoBild test out of 52 total tyres. Nevertheless, it managed to secure a position in best features for its Wet circle cornering capability.
In conclusion, the Maxxis Premitra HP5 seems to offer a better overall performance based on our tests and ratings. It's noteworthy for summer tyres to be effective in both dry and wet conditions and the Maxxis Premitra HP5 does exactly that, garnering positive feedback especially in regards to its wet and dry braking. The Kleber Dynaxer HP3, despite its lower test results, still showcases a commendable performance in wet conditions, particularly in wet circle cornering. Drivers looking for a more balanced summer tyre might prefer the Premitra HP5, but the Dynaxer HP3 could offer a surprisingly decent performance in damp conditions at an attractive price point.
