In this comparison, we will focus on two summer tyres, the Kumho EcowinG ES01 KH27 and the Nokian Line.
The Kumho EcowinG ES01 KH27, manufactured by Kumho, is introduced as an eco-friendly tyre focused on efficiency and fuel saving. Unfortunately, our tests didn't provide a percentage-based rating for this tyre. However, it managed to secure the 28th position out of 51 tyres in the Autobild test, implying a fairly average performance. In ADAC test, this tyre did better by finishing 7th out of 16 tyres. No previous or newer model replacing the Kumho EcowinG ES01 KH27 was noted.
Meanwhile, the Nokian Line is a product of Nokian, made in Finland. Similarly, our tests didn't provide a percentage-based rating for this tyre either. However, its performance was remarkably better in the Autobild test where it secured the 14th position out of 51 tyres, decisively upper-midfield. This above-average performance is mirrored in the ADAC test where it managed to rank 6th out of 16 tyres. Similar to the Kumho tyre, no previous or newer replacing model for Nokian Line was indicated.
The Verdict:
When it comes to the Kumho EcowinG ES01 KH27, its strengths lie in its eco-friendly design and fuel efficiency. However, it seems to struggle when it comes to overall performance across tests, landing mostly average rankings.
On the other hand, the Nokian Line clearly shows its strength in test performance, consistently ranking in the top half across both tests. Its Finnish roots might imply a focus on excellent performance under variable and challenging weather conditions typical for Northern Europe.
Based on the available test data, it can be deduced that the Nokian Line is the better tyre overall. This is indicated by its consistently higher ranking in both tests, putting it squarely in the top half of all tested tyres.
