In this comparative review, we will be looking at two all-season tyres, the Hankook Kinergy 4S2 H750 and the Kormoran All Season. Both tyres are produced by renowned manufacturers - Hankook and Kormoran respectively.
The Hankook Kinergy 4S2 H750 is a successor to the Hankook Kinergy 4S, delivering even better performance. Our rating portal awarded this tyre a high score of 89%. It stood out in tests conducted by Autobild, placing 5th out of 35 tested tyres. Its main strengths were aquaplaning resistance, exterior noise level, as well as snow braking and handling capabilities.
Meanwhile, the Kormoran All Season has not been so well received, obtaining a rating of just 20% in our tests. In the Autobild test, this model landed only on the 24th position. Notably, the tyre's best feature was its exterior noise.
According to textual data summaries from autobild 2023 and autobild 2022, the Hankook Kinergy 4S2 H750 showcased reliable driving characteristics on snow and ice and a satisfying amount of mileage. Some downsides include slightly extended wet and dry braking distance and average lifespan and cost-effectiveness. On the other hand, the data for the Kormoran All Season tyre is sparse, indicating that it didn't perform too well in most of the categories.
In another test by Autoklub ČR, Hankook Kinergy 4S2 H750 again outperformed Kormoran All Season. The Hankook tyre achieved 6th place, with the Kormoran ending up in the last, 7th place. Once again, the most noticeable strength of the Kormoran tyre was its exterior noise level.
In summary, if you are in search of a reliable all-rounder tyre that performs well in various conditions, the Hankook Kinergy 4S2 H750 would be a smart choice. However, if you prioritize a quiet ride, the Kormoran All Season might still be worth considering, despite its overall lower performance.
