Detailed head-to-head comparison based on actual test results
In this comparison, we take a closer look at two allround tyres: the Hankook Kinergy 4S2 H750 and the Bridgestone Weather Control A005. Our team provides an in-depth analysis, using data from several tyre tests conducted by Autoklub ČR, Autobild, autobild 2020 and ACE.
The Hankook-manufactured tyre, Kinergy 4S2 H750 is a successor of Hankook Kinergy 4S. Made in Korea, it has multiple strengths as declared by various tests. It ranked 6th in Autoklub ČR and 4th in Autobild’s assessment. The tyre exhibited particular strengths in wet and snow handling, aquaplaning — longitudal as well as cross, and scored well in short dry and wet braking. However, it's worth mentioning that autobild 2020 highlighted the tyre's mediocre mileage and unsatisfactory ride comfort as its drawbacks.
On the other hand, the Bridgestone Weather Control A005 outperformed in several fields. Despite its 7th position in the ACE testing, it clenched the coveted 1st position in the Autobild's testing out of 27 tyres. Its strengths include dry handling, exterior noise, rolling resistance, dry and wet braking, and wet circle cornering. Sporty, dynamic handling in both wet and dry conditions, short wet and dry braking distances, and precise steering were few of the highlights mentioned in the autobild 2020 report. It did, however, show limitations in snowy conditions and satisfactory mileage.
Overall, both tyres have their strengths and weaknesses. While the Hankook Kinergy 4S2 H750 stood out with its impressive wet and snow handling, the Bridgestone Weather Control A005 impressed test experts with its high performance across different parameters, particularly in dry handling and braking. However, despite the Hankook tyre's prominent performance, the Bridgestone tyre was ultimately the one that managed to secure a better position in the majority of the tests.
Remember, your choice should always align with your driving conditions and personal preferences. Both these tyres have proved their strong competence in multiple tests, yet the Bridgestone Weather Control A005's overall performance appears to slightly edge out the Hankook Kinergy 4S2 H750. It is always worth considering the tests’ feedback regarding their performance in specific areas, such as wet, dry or snowy conditions.
