The two tyres under review are the GT radial Sport Active 2 from GT Radial and the Nexen N fera Sport from Nexen. Below you will find a detailed text comparison based on our test results, strengths, and weaknesses of each tyre.

Starting with the GT radial Sport Active 2, this tyre has received an overall rating of 44% on our platform. According to our tests, the GT radial Sport Active 2 shows strong performance in aquaplaning, both cross and longitudinal. However, it shows some weaknesses when it comes to it's grip on the wet surface and side guidance on a wet track. On the brighter side, it provides good value for the cost, safe wet and dry handling, and noise level is satisfactory. Negative aspects include slightly prolonged braking on wet surfaces and a moderate rolling comfort. Also, it ranked 10th out of 11 tyres tested in Autobild and 10th out of 10 in AutoMotorSport.

On the other hand, the Nexen N fera Sport comes with an UHP (Ultra High Performance) subType, made in the Czech Republic, and was the first equipment on the BMW 2-series Active Tourer. Rated at 59%, it has performed slightly better in our tests compared to the GT Radial Sport Active 2. The tyre offers good resistance to aquaplaning, and particularly commendable is it's low noise emission. Although it is highlighted for its short dry braking distances, it's understeering handling behaviour, and average mileage are something to be improved. According to Autobild and AutoMotorSport, it ranked 9th out of 11 and 5th out of 10 respectively, making it fare better than the GT radial Sport Active 2.

To put in perspective, if your requirement is for an UHP tyre with low exterior noise, the Nexen N fera Sport seems to be a better option. However, if cost-effectiveness and safe handling are on priority, GT radial Sport Active 2 would be a considerable option, though its overall ratings are lesser.

In conclusion, while GT radial Sport Active 2 and Nexen N fera Sport have their own individual strengths, they offer a somewhat comparable performance. Making a choice between the two should ideally be based on your specific requirements and preferences.

Please note that neither of these models has been replaced by a newer model and they are still active in their manufacturer's lineup.
