Our comparison today includes two distinctive summer tyres: the Giti Sport S1 from Giti, and the Pirelli P ZERO from the renowned Pirelli.

The Giti Sport S1 is a Ultra High Performance (UHP) tyre, with its manufacturing base being in China. In the AutoMotorSport test, it clinched the 11th position out of 11 tyres, and stood out particularly for its dry handling and dry lane changing capabilities. This Giti model featured in the 22nd position out of 50 tested tyres in the AutoBild test. Lastly, in the AutoMotorSport test, the tyre took 7th position with high remarks for its low exterior noise and rolling resistance.

On the other hand, the Pirelli P ZERO, hailing from Italy, is another summer tyre with its unique strengths. In the AutoMotorSport test, this tyre performed better than Giti Sport S1, securing the 4th position, with its best feature being wet side guide. Similar to the Giti, in the Autobild test, Pirelli P ZERO took the 25th position. However, in the coarse AutoMotorSport test, it held strong in the 4th position, showing exceptional performance in both dry and wet conditions with highlighted attributes of dry handling, dry lane changing, dry steering response, wet handling, along with wet safety and wet handling - objective.

Comparing the two, both tyres exhibit unique strengths, with the Giti Sport S1 being a strong performer in dry handling and displaying a potential advantage in noise and rolling resistance reduction. In contrast, the Pirelli P Zero clearly stands out in its handling in both dry and wet conditions, indicating remarkable all-weather performance and safety.

Looking at mutual test positions across various tests, the Pirelli P ZERO generally placed better and showed a more consistent performance. Overall, while the Giti Sport S1 shows some promise in specific areas, the consistency and multitude of strengths in the Pirelli P ZERO make it a compelling choice for those prioritizing driving safety and performance in both dry and wet conditions.

Please note that these are our observations and the final decision should always be made considering specific driving conditions and personal preferences.
