In this tyre comparison, we are going to scrutinise two premium summer tyres, the Giti Gitisport S2 from Giti Tires and the Nexen N fera Sport from Nexen Tyre. These tyres were both evaluated in various tests including those conducted by ADAC, TyreReviews.com, Autobild, and SportAuto.

The Giti Gitisport S2 is a Chinese-made ultra-high-performance (UHP) summer tyre that did not stand very high in the tests. Namely, Giti Gitisport S2 secured the 15th position out of 18 tyres in the ADAC test, then was placed 19th out of 50 tyres in Autobild's study and finally, secured tier 10th in a group of 11 tyres in SportAuto. The tyre's key strengths are found in its impressive aquaplaning properties, contributing to better safety on wet roads as well as it’s reasonably low exterior noise. Conversely, the tyre struggles with its wear rate, it has weak dry and damp performance resulting in longer braking distances and less precise steering. To further elaborate on this, Johannes of TyreReviews.com mentioned that the tyre has "weaknesses on dry and wet roads, the shortest predicted mileage in the test, increased wear and a higher weight".

On the other hand, the Nexen N fera Sport was proven to outperform its competitor in most respects. This Czech-made UHP summer tyre has been officially approved for the BMW 2-series Active Tourer. The tyre showed a better placement in tests, clinching 10th out of 18 tyres in the ADAC test, 14th out of 50 in Autobild's test and despite securing the last 11th place in SportAuto's testing, it should be pointed out that the total number of tested tyres was only 11. Based on data from various tests, the Nexen N fera Sport demonstrates good resistance to aquaplaning, short braking distances, and low roll resistance. However, it may display a bit reluctant steering response on wet roads and has average mileage. According to TyreReviews.com, this tyre flaunts "good aquaplaning reserves, short braking distances, low rolling resistance".

In conclusion, Nexen N fera Sport appears to be a stronger contender when compared to Giti Gitisport S2 in reference to test data. Key strengths of N ferra sport are its performance on both wet and dry roads, braking distances and ride noise. Regardless, drivers are advised to consider their individual driving conditions and driving style before deciding on their ideal tyre.
