Dunlop SP Sport MAXX RT2 and Sava Intensa UHP 2 are both summer tyres designed to deliver high performance. Let's learn more about their strengths and weaknesses based on various tests and user reviews.

The Dunlop SP Sport MAXX RT2 is a Tyre Tests high scorer with a rating of 72%. In Autobild's comparison of 52 tyres, it landed in the respectable 7th place. The tyre received praise for its Aquaplaning - longitudinal performance and comfort. In automotorsport 2022, Dunlop stood out for its secure driving characteristics on wet surfaces, excellent Aquaplaning qualities, and short dry braking distances. However, it did record slightly delayed steering on dry surfaces. In Autobild 2022, the tyre exhibited good Aquaplaning properties, precise wet handling, short dry and wet braking distances, satisfactory rolling comfort, and a fair price level. However, a delayed steering response on a dry track was a slight downside. In the ADAC test, Dunlop secured the 6th position among 17 tyres.

On the other hand, the Sava Intensa UHP 2 has earned a rating of 67% from Tyre Tests. Among 52 tyres in the Autobild test, it secured the 11th position, with standout features like Aquaplaning - cross and price/value ratio. In automotorsport 2022, the Sava model received applause for its short dry braking distances, low rolling resistance, and favorable price level. However, it showed some understeering in wet/dry handling and limited Aquaplaning reserves. It earned commendation from Autobild 2022 for its great safety reserves during Aquaplaning, stable driving behavior on dry tracks, short dry and wet braking distances, good comfort, and an affordable price. One constraint, though, was its restricted mileage. In ADAC's test, it landed the 12th spot, exhibiting a notable low noise level. However, Sava had a slightly higher wear and some weaknesses on wet surfaces.

Overall, both tyres from established manufacturers, Dunlop and Sava, have their strengths and weaknesses. The Dunlop SP Sport MAXX RT2 impresses with its excellent Aquaplaning performance and high comfort, but could improve its dry surface steering. The Sava Intensa UHP 2 exhibits good dry braking distances and low rolling resistance, yet it could enhance its wet/dry handling and Aquaplaning reserves. However, taking all rating biases into account, the Dunlop SP Sport MAXX RT2 edges out the Sava Intensa UHP 2 in general performance.
