In today's evaluation, we will be comparing two summer tyres, the Dunlop SP Sport MAXX RT2 (produced by Dunlop) and the Imperial EcoSport 2 (from Imperial). Our analysis spans several tests and data sources.
The Dunlop SP Sport MAXX RT2 is a Ultra High Performance tyre. Our internal rating system assigned a rating of 72%, revealing a solid performance overall. It excelled notably in areas such as Aquaplaning (longitudinal) and Comfort. However, the tyre has encountered critique concerning a delayed steering response on dry terrain. Despite this, its wet handling attributes are commendable, particularly its secure driving characteristics on wet roads and good aquaplaning qualities. It also features short dry braking distances that contribute to its safety and its good rolling comfort furthermore add to the driving experience. Dunlop SP Sport MAXX RT2 occupies the 11th position in the test from Autobild, standing out amongst 53 analysed tyres.
On the other hand, we have the Imperial EcoSport 2. Unfortunately, our data sources did not provide much information about this tyre model. From the available tests, it's shown that it placed 41st out of 53 tyres in one Autobild test. While this places it lower than the Dunlop model, there could be potential strengths of this tyre not outlined by the provided data.
Overall, the Dunlop SP Sport MAXX RT2 clearly demonstrates higher test positions and better features overall when compared to the Imperial EcoSport 2.
