Comparison: Debica Presto HP2 vs. Dunlop Sport BluResponse vs. Firestone Roadhawk vs. Maxxis Premitra HP5

Today, we are comparing Debica Presto HP2 and Dunlop Sport BluResponse, both being summer tyres. These models are brought to you by their respective manufacturers, Debica and Dunlop. No newer models have replaced these tyres.

The Debica Presto HP2 holds an overall rating of 84%. In the Autobild test, it secured the 16th position out of 53 tyres, notably praised for its price/value ratio. The Dunlop Sport BluResponse follows closely with our rating of 83%. In the same Autobild test, it stood at 11th position, with its strengths being low rolling resistance and comfort.

The ADAC test gave us similar results. Out of 18 tested tyres, the Debica Presto HP2 ranked 7th while the Dunlop Sport BluResponse had a noticeable higher ranking, at 4th place.

From the autobild 2024 data, the Dunlop Sport BluResponse did well on dry roads, was efficient but didn't fare as balanced. It slightly under-performed on wet roads, had weaknesses in environmental impact and showed a relatively shorter lifespan.

Debica Presto HP2, though also not quite balanced, showed a superior environmental footprint, good lifespan, and efficiency. However, it fell short in driving safety.

In conclusion, both tyres have their strengths and weaknesses. The Dunlop Sport BluResponse shines with its comfort, low rolling resistance and performance on dry roads. On the other hand, the Debica Presto HP2 offers good price/value ratio, environmental performance, and lifespan.

Still, the Dunlop Sport BluResponse outperforms the Debica Presto HP2 in mutual tests, but with a smaller margin. It's a deciding factor for those prioritizing rolling resistance, comfort, and dry road performance. The Debica Presto HP2 is tailor-made for those looking for a balance between price and performance, with an added advantage of a superior environmental footprint.
