The Continental PremiumContact 6 and the Bridgestone Turanza T005 are two impressive summer touring tyres. However, each demonstrates unique strengths and weaknesses.

The Continental PremiumContact 6 show strengths in the areas of wet circle cornering, wet handling, and wet braking according to the ADAC test. This superior performance in wet conditions confirms its top spot position on test among 15 tyres, with notable features like dry steering response, comfort, and dry handling in the AutoMotorSport test. This tyre scored high in Autozeitung and Gute-Fahrt tests, taking first position in both tests among 10 tyres. It is highly rated in terms of drive safety, both on dry and wet roads. However, there seems to be some minor weakness in terms of efficiency as noted by TyreReviews.com 2021. This model is a successor of the Continental ContiPremiumContact 5 and has now been replaced by Continental PremiumContact 7

On the other hand, Bridgestone Turanza T005 performed comparably well, especially in dry braking based on ADAC test results. It was placed third in the same test with 15 tyres, depicting its good standing amongst competitors. In the AutoMotorSport test, this tyre demonstrated excellent capabilities in rolling resistance, wet braking, and wet handling. Bridgestone Turanza T005 also exhibited a high level of efficiency with no notable weaknesses according to TyreReviews.com 2021. Nevertheless, there was a minor shortcoming with slight increased wear observed in the ADAC 2021 test. Currently, there is no newer model that replaced this model.

In conclusion, both tyres are products of reputable manufacturers Continental and Bridgestone. While Continental PremiumContact 6 seems to hold a slight edge, finishing first in more tests in comparison to Bridgestone Turanza T005, both tyres demonstrate remarkable all-around performance. Overall, Continental PremiumContact 6 scored an 87% rating and Bridgestone Turanza T005 scored slightly higher at 89%, making both tyres a great choice for summer touring.

Note: The selection of tyres should be based on the personal preference, driving style, driving conditions, and specific requirements of the vehicle owner.
