Comparison: Bridgestone Weather Control A005 vs. Continental AllSeasonContact vs. Michelin CrossClimate+ vs. Hankook Kinergy 4S2 H750 vs. Nexen N Blue 4 Season vs. Falken EuroALL Season AS210

In this review we are comparing two tyres - the Bridgestone Weather Control A005 from Bridgestone, and the Continental AllSeasonContact from Continental. Both of these are classified as all-round tyres, making this comparison particularly interesting.

Looking at our ratings, the Bridgestone Weather Control A005 scored 45%, whereas the Continental AllSeasonContact received a much higher score of 76%. This suggests that, at least in our opinion, the Continental tyre provides a more versatile and reliable performance than its Bridgestone counterpart.

Bridgestone Weather Control A005 Review

The Bridgestone Weather Control A005 has been reviewed well when it comes to dry handling, wet braking and exterior noise, as per the Autobild tests, but also showed good dry braking and driving behaviour according to ADAC. However, this tyre struggles in snow conditions, which is likely to be a major drawback for customers living in colder environments. Despite the good features, it scored lower in mutual tests with positions 4 in Autoklub test, 1 in Autobild and poor 7 in ADAC and ACE tests out of 7 and 8 total tyres.

Continental AllSeasonContact Review

The Continental AllSeasonContact on the other hand, is a robust all-rounder with excellent performance in winter conditions and a very good price-performance ratio. According to Autobild, it excelled in areas including snow cornering and resistance to aquaplaning and this was corroborated by the ADAC test, which also showed good ice braking and handling. The only notable weakness is in dry conditions, however, that for an all-season tyre still doesn't affect its overall performance too much. This tyre performed much better in mutual tests securing the position 1 in Autoklub, ADAC and ACE tests and position 5 in Autobild test out of 27 total tyres.

In conclusion, the Continental AllSeasonContact is a superior tyre if you are looking for an all-round performer. However, if you live in a warmer climate and don't expect to drive in snowy conditions, the Bridgestone Weather Control A005 might still be a suitable choice due to its excellent dry and wet handling.

Note that both of these tyres are the most up-to-date models from their respective manufacturers - they have not been replaced by any newer models.
