When it comes to tyre performance, every detail matters. That's why our experts have taken time to compare each and every aspect of the Apollo Alnac 4G and the Tomket Sport, two summer tyres from renowned manufacturers Apollo and Tomket respectively. Both tyres have been tested in various conditions and their performance has been reviewed.
The Apollo Alnac 4G scored 23% in our ratings, positioning it 14th out of 19 in the Autoklub ČR test, 27th out of 50 in the ADAC test, and 21st out of 53 in the Autobild test. This indicates a generally solid performance. From multiple test sources, it has often been cited as efficient. However, it's faced criticism for its unbalanced performance and multiple weaknesses on both dry and wet roads, as well as its relatively low mileage and high abrasion. It also possesses some environmental downsides as it shows weakness in sustainability.
In comparison, the Tomket Sport landed a lower spot in our ratings with just a 12% score. It secured the 16th out of 19 position in the Autoklub ČR test, 37th out of 50 in the ADAC test, and a disappointing 49th out of 53 in the Autobild test. Test summaries highlight it as very light and efficient with little abrasion. On the flip side though, it has been criticised for its unbalanced performance, and weaknesses on both dry and particularly wet surfaces. It offers a low mileage too and has a distinct lack of sustainability.
Overall, the Apollo Alnac 4G appears to be the better performer of the two, with higher positions in each of the comparative tests. Despite holding some environmental implications and having several noted weaknesses, its overall performance, and efficiency makes it an acceptable option.
The Tomket Sport although considerably lighter and efficient, falls significantly behind the Apollo Alnac 4G due to its clearly marked weaknesses, and notably low sustainability rating. Its poor showing in the tests indicates that it may not be the best choice for demanding summer conditions.
Both tyres don't present newer versions that replaced them currently. Remember to always consider the car type, usage requirements, geographic conditions, and budget before making your decision. We'll continue to keep you updated with further test results to guide your choice.
