TOMKET offroad/allterrain (A/T) tyres - market overview, tests, reviews

The TOMKET brand is a new player in the tyre market. It is the product of the Czech leader, which is the largest and cheapest online retailer in the field of tyre sales. Alongside big names like BARUM or MICHELIN, the name sounds a bit unusual, but that is not necessarily a handicap. New for 2017

TOMKET tyres are new for 2017. The tyres are manufactured for TOMKET by two global rubber concerns whose names have not been disclosed, but are said to be among the top 15 tyre manufacturers in the world. One of them is most likely the Chinese brand LingLong (Zhaoyuan city), which, however, does not have much tradition in Europe. And it is thanks to the cooperation with global partners, who use the latest technological processes in the development and production of new tyre types, that the supplier in the TOMKET brand offers powerful products, according to the salesman.

For whom?

These tyres are therefore logically aimed at customers who are primarily interested in price - it's logical, they came from a shop that has an emphasis on price in its name. According to the retailer's statement, TOMKET places particular emphasis on the quality of the products it sells, so it guarantees, among other things, a multi-stage output control. A range of special testing technologies, including software analysis, are then used in the production process so that any potential problems can be detected before the tyre is actually tested on the test equipment. Thanks to these stringent procedures, these tyres meet all European standards and can stand alongside even the most prestigious products without shame. It should be noted here that no real public comparative test has taken place and we will have to wait to verify this information. The fact that TOMKET tyres are classified in the low-noise class is also positive. This is because the tyre manufacturer strives to achieve the highest level of satisfaction for customers who are looking for quality products, without missing the famous brand name on the side of the tyre. TOMKET's product range is varied and includes tyres for passenger cars as well as commercial use on company vans. The van tyre range is probably what makes the most sense in my opinion. For vans, tyres are not tested very much and generally they are more about price, which in this case is very favourable.

Tomket summer tyres

Among the variants for passenger cars are ECO summer tyres, designed especially for the lower middle class, which are made of a special compound enriched with silica. They exhibit excellent handling characteristics on wet surfaces and achieve very good performance, while also being characterised by low rolling resistance. In addition, thanks to their special asymmetric design and three grooves, they are safe even in aquaplaning conditions. Stability and traction are very good, thanks in particular to the quality and high stiffness of the centre construction. Drivers can then enjoy the joy and comfort of fast driving with TOMKET SPORT tyres, which are especially designed for all drivers who are looking for performance. In addition to their asymmetric design, four wider grooves ensure even better grip and reduce the risk of aquaplaning. The sipes around the perimeter of the tyre also improve traction on dry and wet surfaces. In addition, they allow the driver to gain better control of the vehicle and offer a significantly short braking distance, which has been rated excellent with a B grade. Without exaggeration, they can be compared with the most famous brands. To increase the reliability of company vans, TOMKET VAN tyres are a suitable option. They have three wide grooves that are ideal for safe driving even in wet conditions. These tyres are designed for smaller vans and thanks to their unique design, low noise and high performance can be guaranteed. The special "J" shaped sipes then help absorb vibrations, making the ride not only reliable and safe, but also comfortable. Entrepreneurs will also appreciate the fact that the special even load distribution significantly reduces tyre wear, which increases tyre life and is an interesting way for fleet operators to reduce costs.

Tomket winter tyres

Tomket has also come out with a winter range of tyres, namely the Snowroad 3 (which is a rather strange designation, considering that this is Tomket's first winter tyre model), Snowroad SUV 3 (tyres for SUVs and 4x4s from R16 to R19) and Snowroad Pro 3 (mid- and upper mid-range cars up to luxury sedans). Here too, the manufacturer praises the tyres, according to the labels the tyres are rather average, however, the values are comparable to, for example, Barumkas, which in my opinion should be approximately equivalent in quality. However, you need to look at the dimensions - in some it gets even to "B" in the wet, which is a very good value, elsewhere it is on the contrary already quite bad "E".
