Ranked #4 of 8
4 out of 8 competitors: The Michelin Alpin 7 delivered a consistent, slightly snow‑biased showing that left it well clear of the mid‑field — it set the second‑fastest lap (just over 0.5s off the winner) and combined strong traction with confident braking, albeit with a delicate balance at the limit. It ranked third in traction and sixth in braking (less than a metre off the best), was fourth in both aquaplaning tests, and while wet cornering was only seventh it was fifth in wet braking (just under 2 m behind the leader) and sixth around the wet circuit, within 1.5 s of the fastest and praised for predictability and quick recovery; turn‑in wasn’t the sharpest but it stayed hooked through corners. On the dry circuit it lacked bite and precision (seventh) despite second‑best dry braking, felt a bit rumbly, had midpack measured noise and strong economy (second). It didn’t top any discipline nor finish last in any property.
