Detailed head-to-head comparison based on actual test results
The Sava Intensa UHP 2 and Maxxis Victra Sport 5 are two summer tyres that have been included for comparison. Manufactured by Sava and Maxxis respectively, these tyres have undergone multiple tests and are scrutinized for their strengths and weaknesses.
Sava Intensa UHP 2 is a follow-up model to the Sava Intensa UHP, and has been awarded a rating of 67% by our team. This tyre has successfully demonstrated short dry braking distances, low rolling resistance, and is popular for its economical price range. However, it underperforms in terms of wet and dry handling, and has only average aquaplaning reserves. In Autobild tests, it secured the 28th out of 50 position. Furthermore, in ADAC tests, coming 6th out of 16, its best features include cross aquaplaning, fuel efficiency, and mileage.
On the other hand, the Maxxis Victra Sport 5, a summer tyre labeled under the Ultra High Performance (UHP) category, has been rated 74%. It secured the 20th position in Autobild's out of 50 Tyre comparison and ranked 4th in the ADAC test of 16 tyres. The tests highlighted its excellent cross aquaplaning, mileage, noise level, and wet circle cornering as its strongest features. Although it has good safety reserves during aquaplaning and a securely dynamic wet handling, some downsides include its average tread life and slightly delayed steering response.
Based on these tests, it is clear that Maxxis Victra Sport 5 outranks the Sava Intensa UHP 2, not only because of its overall better performance in these tests, but also due to its more balanced range of strengths and limited weaknesses. Therefore, if you are looking for a tyre that performs well in both wet and dry conditions, and offers more than just fuel efficiency and mileage, the UHP tyre, Maxxis Victra Sport 5, might be your best choice.
It is noteworthy that both of these tyres have not been replaced by newer models yet, enabling us to base our evaluations on their most recent performance standards.
