We have two all-round tyres under examination today, the Bridgestone Weather Control A005 and the Kleber Quadraxer 2. Both tyres have strengths and weaknesses that we'll explore further below. Both have placed well in tests, but the Bridgestone came out top in the AutoBild test, while the Kleber tyre performed admirably nonetheless.

With a comprehensive set of features, the Bridgestone Weather Control A005 proved excellent in many areas. It stood out for its dry handling, exterior noise reduction, efficient rolling resistance, and effective wet and dry braking. These traits were highlighted in the AutoBild test, marking the Bridgestone Weather Control A005 as an extraordinary tyre. However, it lacks any significant improvement from its previous model. The main downside observed was limited traction and side grip on snowy surfaces which reflects in our 45% rating overall.

On the other hand, the Kleber Quadraxer 2, originating from Poland, particularly shined in conditions involving snow with excellent braking and handling properties. However, the thorough test by AutoBild noted its limitations in curve aquaplaning reserves, which may affect its performance in heavy rain situations. Due to these factors, the Kleber Quadraxer 2 earned a respectable 33% score from our review. Although, this tyre has been replaced by a newer model, the Kleber Quadraxer 3, which you may want to consider for further improvements in tyre performance.

In direct comparison, the Weather Control A005 from Bridgestone surpasses the Kleber Quadraxer 2 in various respects. Offering sporty and dynamic driving behaviour on wet and dry roads, short braking distances, precise steering behaviour, and low rolling resistance. But it's not as proficient on snowy roads.

But if you're looking for a tyre geared towards winter conditions, the Quadraxer 2 from Kleber might shine brighter with its superior braking and handling abilities on compacted snow, quieter rolling noise, and better durability. Also, it delivers great value for money with a competitive price point.

Manufacturers of these tyres, Bridgestone and Kleber, have a long history of creating high-quality products. They continue to demonstrate their expertise in developing tyres that balance performance, durability, and cost. While Bridgestone focuses on sporty performance and driving dynamics, Kleber offers wonderful winter performance and cost-effectiveness.

In summary, if you're seeking a tyre that delivers excellent performance in a variety of conditions, particularly in dry and wet environments, the Bridgestone Weather Control A005 may be a better choice. But if your primary concern is winter performance and affordability, don't overlook the Kleber Quadraxer 2 or its successor, the Quadraxer 3.
