If you are looking for high-quality summer tyres, both the Avon ZV7 and the Dunlop Sport BluResponse are worthy contenders. However, they do perform differently in tests, indeed offering various strengths and weaknesses.
Made by Avon Tyres, the ZV7 offers considerable fuel efficiency ("relativ sparsam"). However, it does have some notable drawbacks; the tyre is imbalanced and has weaknesses when driving on dry roads, leading to downgrading in test results. Likewise, its environmental footprint is not impressive, and it offers very low mileage with high wear ("sehr geringe Laufleistung, viel Abrieb"). Other areas of concern include sustainability; the tyre does not score high in this area either. Consequently, the Avon ZV7 ranked 42nd out of 50 tyres in the ADAC test and 16th out of 51 tyres in the Autobild test, obtaining an overall rating of 48% from our website.
On the other hand, the Dunlop Sport BluResponse, by Dunlop, excels in its performance on dry roads, and is found to be efficient and lightweight. It does, however, present some weaknesses, including a slight underperformance on wet roads that led to its downgrade in the tests. Additionally, similar to ZV7, it also struggles with a strong environmental footprint and offers relatively low mileage ("relativ geringe Laufleistung"). The BluResponse ranked significantly better in mutual tests; it secured the 16th position out of 50 tyres in the ADAC test and 8th among 51 tyres in the Autobild test, receiving commendation for its comfort. Thanks to these merits, our website rates it at 83%.
In conclusion, while the Avon ZV7 shines in terms of fuel efficiency, it falls behind in areas like road performance on dry roads, mileage, and environmental footprint. Conversely, the Dunlop Sport BluResponse performs strongly on dry roads and comfort, with its primary weaknesses lying in wet road performance and mileage. Based on mutual test positions and overall performance, the Dunlop Sport BluResponse trumps the Avon ZV7, reflected through its notably higher rating on our site.
