Comparison: Dunlop Sport All Season vs. Firestone Multiseason 2 vs. Pirelli Cinturato All Season SF2

Our review brings together two competitors in the tyre industry, the Dunlop Sport All Season and the Firestone Multiseason 2. We will determine which tyre performs best in multiple tests, highlighting their strengths and weaknesses.

The Dunlop Sport All Season is a noteworthy all-round tyre with a holistic approach to driving performance. Made by Dunlop, this model is manufactured in France and attained a commendable rating of 72% in our tests. This tyre stands out for its impressive wet circle cornering and dry handling. Its comfort and resistance to aquaplaning are other strong points. Especially in the Autobild test, it secured a remarkable 6th position out of 32 tires in the test.

The primary criticisms towards the Dunlop Sport All Season in the Autobild 2023 and 2022 tests involved its snow handling and Aquaplaning properties, and slightly extended braking distances on dry surfaces. Despite these issues, the tyre's excellent behaviour on wet and dry surfaces, low rolling resistance, and outstanding comfort were unanimously applauded.

On the other end of the comparison, we have the Firestone Multiseason 2. Manufactured by Firestone in Italy, this winter tyre has a 67% rating from our testing. The tyre's best features appear to be its rolling resistance and stable driving behaviour on snowy and wet surfaces. It held a respectable 16th position out of 32 in the Autobild test, as well as 6th out of 10 in the Autoklub test.

Like the Dunlop tyre, the Firestone Multiseason 2 also had its share of criticisms. Test results from autobild 2023 and 2022 indicated it had mediocre Aquaplaning qualities, understeering snow and dry handling, and limited mileage. However, its short snow and wet braking distances, high mileage performance, and low rolling resistance were points in its favour.

In conclusion, based on the available test results and comparing the specifics of both tyres, the Dunlop Sport All Season appears to be the superior choice in this comparison, particularly in terms of wet circle cornering and driving comfort. However, the Firestone Multiseason 2 shouldn’t be completely dismissed, given its low rolling resistance and reliable performance on wet and snowy roads. The task of choosing the right tyre ultimately comes down to your specific driving conditions requirement and tyre expectations.
