The first tyre we are comparing is the Semperit Speed-Life 3, manufactured by Semperit. It's the latest model is in a lineage of summer tyres, which were preceded by the Semperit Speed-Life series. At the moment, there isn't a new tyre available that replaced this model.

The Speed-Life 3 fared moderately in various tests. In the 'Autobild' test, it was 41 out of 50, with better performance noted in handling on wet roads and high mileage. However, its weakness lay in the performance on dry roads. In the 'ADAC' test, it was 14 out of 16 and in the 'Autoklub ČR' test it ranked 10th out of 19. Overall, it could be said that the Semperit Speed-Life 3 demonstrates good efficiency and wear resistance, but its performance on dry roads needs improvement.

When compared to the Continental PremiumContact 7 manufactured by Continental, the difference in performance is quite significant. The PremiumContact 7, also a part of a series which includes the Continental PremiumContact 6 and Continental ContiPremiumContact 5, doesn't currently have a successor.

However, this tyre has been consistently ranked highly in various tests. In the 'Autobild' test, it got the 5th position out of 50 and was praised for its excellent aquaplaning resistance, superior rolling resistance, as well as braking performance on both wet and dry roads. Autobild's 2024 and 2025 summary showed excellent features of the tyre, providing superior handling and performance on both wet and dry surfaces, with a slight weakness in aquaplaning performance.

Additionally, the 'ADAC' test awarded it the first place, applauding its comprehensive performance including comfort, handling, and braking on both wet and dry conditions. Lastly, the 'Autoklub ČR' also placed it as their top tyre, showcasing its superior wet and dry braking, handling, and overall comfort, despite a higher price point. Other features were its precised steering behaviour and good mileage.

In conclusion, the Continental PremiumContact 7 clearly outperforms the Semperit Speed-Life 3. With superior ratings in multiple tests, it stands as the better performer between the two, with only minor weaknesses noted.
