Comparison: Pirelli Cinturato P7 vs. Nokian WetProof vs. Michelin Primacy 4+ vs. Goodyear Efficient Grip Performance 2

In this article, we'll be comparing two high-quality summer tyres- the Pirelli Cinturato P7 and the Nokian WetProof. Both tyres are from well-established manufacturers, the Pirelli based in Italy and Nokian from Finland.

The Pirelli Cinturato P7, rated at 75%, shines with its robust braking capability on dry surfaces and its low noise levels, both interior and exterior. This tyre is manufactured in Italy and Romania, emphasizing on its strengths in dry braking and tyre noise, as noted in ADAC and AutoMotorSport tests, where it placed 12th and 5th respectively out of numerous other competitors.

On the other hand, the Nokian WetProof, with a rating of 68%, excels particularly in wet conditions. This tyre, made in Finland, shows its superiority in aspect of noise and wet circle cornering as per the ADAC test. Surprisingly, it occupied the 1st position in both ACE and AutoMotorSport tests, demonstrating its exceptional wet braking and handling capabilities.

In terms of mutual test performances, it's evident that both the tyres performed variably based on different conditions. In the ADAC test, the Nokian WetProof surpassed the Pirelli Cinturato P7, securing the 11th position out of 15 tested tyres, while the latter finished in the 12th spot. The circumstances were flipped entirely in the Gute-Fahrt test as the Pirelli tyre occupied the 5th position, outperforming the Nokian tyre that secured the 4th position, among the eight total tyres tested.

In the ACE test, dominated by the Nokian WetProof in the 1st rank, the Pirelli hovered at the 9th position. However, in the AutoMotorSport test, despite the Nokian's stellar performance bringing it the 1st position, the Pirelli tyre shone brightly too, placing a firm 5th rank among eleven of the competitors.

Conclusively, the Pirelli Cinturato P7 scores impressively in the department of noise reduction and dry braking, making it an excellent choice for those who prioritize comfort and city-driving. However, the Nokian WetProof, with its superior wet condition performance, is the go-to tyre for those who frequently encounter unpredictable weather and require optimal control in all situations.

It's worth noting that neither of these models has been replaced with newer versions, implying that both models still hold their ground, providing their unique benefits.
