Comparison: Pirelli Cinturato P7 vs. Michelin Primacy 4+ vs. Falken e.Ziex

Our comparison presents two esteemed tyres: Pirelli Cinturato P7 and Michelin Primacy 4+. Manufactured by Pirelli and Michelin respectively, both summer tyres bring unique strengths to the table. Made in Italy and Romania, the Pirelli Cinturato P7 scored 75% in our rating, whereas the Spanish-made Michelin Primacy 4+ edged ahead with our rating of 76%. It's worth noting that both models have been replaced with newer designs, as seen here.

Coming to our test results, the Pirelli Cinturato P7 particularly excels in dry handling; it's a key feature recognised in our ACE test, where it earned the 4th position out of 10. However, in the Autobild test, it was positioned 9th out of 55 tyres. Despite its impressive dynamic steering and handling, consideration must be given to its adequate mileage and economic efficiency, and its higher price level.

In contrast, the Michelin Primacy 4+ clinched the 3rd position in the ACE test, with dry handling highlighted as its strongest suit. It showed an even stronger performance in the Autobild test, securing the 5th position with its exterior noise levels commended. Notably, it offers excellent mileage and economic efficiency. The tyre is praised for a well-balanced high-performance potential, excellent handling qualities, and short dry braking distances.

In summary, if dry handling is your highest priority, both tyres will serve you well. The Pirelli Cinturato P7 provides dynamic steering and handling, but this is traded off with its price and satisfactory mileage. In contrast, the Michelin Primacy 4+ achieves a balance of impressive dry handling with better noise control and economic efficiency. In terms of our ratings and overall test results, the Michelin Primacy 4+ tends to outshine its counterpart but the choice ultimately depends on individual requirements and preferences.
